A few of the questions we hear most about decorative concrete, epoxy coatings and Georgia concrete care.
What is decorative concrete?
+
Decorative concrete can mean several things. It can be an epoxy poured over the concrete, an overlay (a modified grout material) that goes on top of existing concrete, or a stain applied directly to the concrete. Decorative concrete offers many designs and can be finished to resemble anything from wood floors to bricks, flagstone or slate.
What are the benefits of decorative concrete?
+
Decorative concrete offers improved aesthetics, increased durability, exceptional strength, lower maintenance, weather resistance, and the ability to mimic more expensive materials like stone or brick. Concrete can conform to any shape and typically outlasts traditional materials.
How long does a decorative concrete project take?
+
The average project takes anywhere from 3 to 7 days depending on the type of decorative concrete you choose, the condition of your existing surface and the size of the application area. Weather can also affect the timeline.
How often should my concrete be resealed?
+
For acrylic sealants, we recommend resealing once a year — or at least once every two years. For polyurethane sealants, once every 3 to 4 years is typical.
Do you work on residential and commercial projects?
+
Yes. Concrete Renewal LLC serves both residential and commercial clients across Northeast Georgia — from Gainesville and Cleveland up I-985 to the North Carolina line, including Athens, Commerce, Toccoa, Clayton and Clarkesville.
