Resurfacing options for pool decks
Knockdown / cool-deck texture
A sprayed cement texture troweled flat on top. Its light colors and texture stay noticeably cooler underfoot and provide grip. It's the most popular option around Northeast Georgia pools.
Stamped overlay
Stone, slate or flagstone patterns for a high-end resort look. We add slip-resistant sealer so it's safe wet.
Stain and seal
For sound decks you just want to recolor. It keeps the existing texture and refreshes the color.
Safety: slip resistance around the water
Wet, smooth concrete is a real hazard. Texture is the first line of defense, and a sealer with anti-slip grit is the second. We choose finishes with barefoot comfort and grip in mind, especially at steps, the shallow end and around diving areas.
Timing around swim season
Spring and fall are the most popular times to resurface — temperatures are moderate and you're not losing pool days. Most projects take a few days, and the deck is ready for foot traffic in about a day after finishing. Book early: spring schedules fill fast in Buford, Suwanee and Sugar Hill.
Caring for a resurfaced deck
Rinse off pollen and leaves regularly, keep pool chemicals off the deck, and reseal every few years depending on sun exposure. A good sealer keeps colors bright and water out.
